Well, I've been so good about keeping up with Luke's blog (KIDDING!) that I thought I should start another one! Actually, I do want to record this journey and share it with whomever may be interested. To make a long story short....Joe and I found out that Luke was going to be a big brother on July 20th. We were so thrilled as we had been trying for a few months at that point. It wasn't until our 1st ultrasound on August 10th that we found out there was more than one! You can't even begin to imagine the shock as we looked at those three little beans up on the screen. And three little heartbeats! I was bouncing between laughing hysterically and crying hysterically. I wasn't sure what to think at that point. I only knew we had a heck of a journey ahead of us.
We've had a few weeks now to get used to the idea (although I'm not sure that really even happens) and we're very excited about all that lies ahead of us. It's going to be tough for a while but thankfully we're blessed with wonderful friends and family and we know we won't be facing this alone.
Right now we're saying lots of prayers....triplet pregnancies are a lot more risky than single pregnancies for the most part. We're going to do all that we can to keep these babies healthy and safe for as long as possible. The official due date is March 29th but we're expecting the arrival sometime in February.
I've been very lucky and not too sick. I get a bit nauseous when I let myself get hungry so I'm learning to always have snacks on hand. No real morning sickness to speak of yet. Hopefully it'll stay that way! I've been more than exhausted but I guess that's to be expected when you're growing three people! When ever I'm laying around doing nothing, I tell Joe I'm busy gestating!
It's now 8:00....bed time! I'll post updates as we get them! Goodnight!
